AN EDITED VERSION OF RICH’S OBITUARY:
Richard Daniel Boudreau sadly passed at the age of 40 years on Thursday, February 19, 2025. Rich’s true passion was playing music and watching his beloved Toronto Maple Leaf. He was self-taught on both, guitars and drums. He was a soul who embraced the power of music and for him, it wasn’t just sound it was life itself. Metallica’s roaring riffs and Megadeth’s intricate solos spoke to him in ways words never could. Through the highs and the lows, he found strength in the notes, comfort in the lyrics and courage in the beats. He lived with passion, fueled by the raw energy of the songs they were anthems of his spirit. He was more than a listener, he was part of the music, part of the story. The echo of his love for these bands and everything they represent will forever resonate. His greatness wasn’t just in the concerts he attended or the albums he loved. It was in the way he lived fiercely, authentically and unapologetically himself. The world is a little quieter without him, but the music he cherished, and the love he shared, will keep his memory alive. Rest easy Richard, your journey through the riffs, the notes and the rhythms lives on in all of us. We will miss you forever. Love you always
