BASS / VOX
Born in Brisbane, Australia 1987, I started playing bass as a teenager, eventually playing as session player for acts like Robert Farrell, Sal Piamonte and Amanda Rheaume.
I met the Aitken brothers in Calgary where we all worked for the same paining company. After getting caught up on their impressive discography, we got to playing some of the best gigs I’ve ever played and created some of my fondest memories of playing music.
We came, we saw and we showed the Calgary music scene how some boys from Ontario could raise the bar for technical crunch rock. We were able squeeze out a 5 song EP that took us over 2 years to finance. My favourite memory being the time we played Sturgis North; we drove from Calgary, A.B. to Vernon, B.C. overnight through a major mudslide in the mountains. We arrived just in time to play our set, watching bike burnouts while we played a cover of “Born to be Wild”. It was a crazy and fun time that I’ll never forget.
It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to have shared the stage with the Aitken boys and I’m proud to call them my brothers. RIP Geoff, Mitch and Rich.
